Chloe Ayling is a 20-year-old Instagram model with a bright future. This British mother-of-one has developed quite a following over the years, garnering 225k followers.
As expected in her industry, Ayling had a photoshoot set up through her agent in the fashion-forward city of Milan. When she arrived on the set on July 11, it very quickly became clear that this was not the photoshoot she had expected.
In her words, “A person wearing black gloves came from behind and put one hand on my neck and one on my mouth to stop me from screaming. A second person wearing a black balaclava gave me an injection in my right forearm.
“I think I lost consciousness.”
“When I woke up I was wearing a pink bodysuit and the socks I am wearing now. I realized I was in the boot of a car with my wrists and ankles handcuffed, adhesive tape on my mouth. I was inside a bag and was only able to breathe through a small hole.”
She was captured by a group that called itself Black Death that intended to sell her as a sex slave. Stuffed into a suitcase and tossed into the trunk of a car, Ayling was driven to an isolated village near Turin, Borgiallo.
For six days, Ayling was forced to lie on a floor, totally immobilized. Her hands and feet were handcuffed to the legs of a chest of drawers. Photos were taken of her and posted on the dark web in order to auction her off to the highest bidder.
After six days, Ayling was suddenly set free. She was released to the British Consulate in Milan, despite no ransom being paid. It was when her captors discovered that she was a mother that they decided to free her.
A note allegedly written by the group read: “You are certainly aware of your value on human slavery market (sic) and must make a note that this isn’t personal, this is business. For your release we have taken a number of factors into consideration.
“A mistake was made by capturing you, especially considering you are a young mother that should have in no circumstances by lured into kidnapping. Second important factor (sic) you are very well aware of is your overall protection by one of our main and very well respected men who made a very clear and solid stance in your case.”
So, because she was a mother, she was set free. While Ayling’s Instagram photos are mostly sexual, about 150 photos in you’ll begin to see the young model posing with her little boy. And even earlier you can find photos of her very pregnant.
Italian police arrested one suspect, Lukasz Herba, a 30-year-old Polish national living in the UK, who was the one to deliver Ayling to the British Consulate in Milan. Authorities claim that Herba organized several auctions in order to sell women, described by him as “prey,” as part of Black Death’s part in illegal human trafficking. Police are still searching for the other kidnapper.
Plenty of people online have expressed doubt on Ayling’s story, claiming that she hasn’t shown any signs of trauma. Her lawyer has vehemently denied any fabrication of the kidnapping incident, and officials are taking Ayling’s claims seriously.
British, Italian, and Polish authorities are continuing to investigate.
