Houston Police are on the lookout for an unidentified man who they say discharged a firearm in a residential neighborhood.

Police were alerted to the issue shortly after 10 pm Thursday night when someone filmed a man shooting his gun near Cottage Grove Park. The video was posted to the social media app Snapchat accompanied by the caption, “Let a n****** try me, I got my glocc 40,” KHOU reports.

By the time officers were notified of the video the suspects had already fled the area. Empty shell casings were found near the basketball court where it is believed the video had been filmed.

The video follows another Snapchat-releated incident within the Houston-area occurring last month leading to the arrest of two individuals.

In October, 29-year-old Michael Anthony Cuellar and 27-year-old Sierra Tarbutton were taken into police custody after they allegedly snapped themselves shooting a gun at houses. Many of the homes seen in the background of the videos may have been abandoned in the wake of hurricane Harvey.

Both Cuellar and Tarbutton were charged with dangerous conduct, charges they are currently battling in court.

Houston police are asking local residents to look closely at the video of the man in the latest Snapchat incident. Anyone with any information on the individual in the video is encouraged to contact Crimestoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
