A suspect has been taken into police custody after he made off with merchandise from a Pueblo, Colorado Family Dollar store, assaulting the clerk in the process.

Dubbed “The Sagging Pants Bandit,” a witness was able to film the incident as the suspect attempted to flee the store but seemed to have trouble keeping his pants on. The store’s clerk attempted to apprehend the man. She was knocked to the ground before going back into the store to call police.

“I would have jumped in if I thought he was going to hurt her. I wanted to have my camera out there because police need evidence,” Marcy Story, the witness who was able to catch the incident on camera, told a reporter for KOAA. “He took her ring too. He had pulled it off her finger and her hands were all bloody.”

The man has since been identified by KRDO as 26-year-old Jeremy Aragon. Police were able to catch up with him two days after the robbery.

The video, which was uploaded to Facebook, was viewed over 74,000 times. Pueblo police have since issued a statement thanking the public for helping them to identify the man.
