In a small suburb of Detroit, Michigan, a girl named Egypt lived and thrived. A talented singer and a blossoming craft brewery sales associate, Egypt eagerly embraced adulthood and responsibility. Unfortunately, one fateful night, her motivation and work ethic placed her in the wrong place at the wrong time.
For three years the local Van Buren Police Department struggled with finding Egypt’s assailants. Eventually, the big guns were brought in - Michigan State Police. WIth state-of-the-art equipment and modern tech know-how, the MSP were able to finally bring Egypt’s case to a close, and bring peace to her family and loved ones.
They say a life well lived is a life well remembered. Egypt’s tragic death rocked her blended family, friends and coworkers to their core. Join Sword and Scale as we interview her parents, friends and coworkers to learn about her lasting impact, as well as the Michigan State Police team that was able to finally reveal the truth behind her needless death.
