On Monday, June 5, 2017, Jill Graham alleges that she received a text message from her husband’s phone. According to this text message, her husband Michael had been trapped in the trunk of his car.

Michael, who was last seen near his place of employment in North Liberty, Iowa, claimed that he had been ambushed, before being tied up and placed in the trunk of his Volkswagen Jetta, license plate number ELL 592. Jill has since reported him missing.

Police were able to trace Michael’s phone, which was last pinged at the intersection of Keokuk-Washington Road and 265th Street near Keota at 1 p.m. on the same date he had last been seen. Since that time police have not been able to locate the phone, which they believe could lead them to Michael Graham or his vehicle.

Since Michael Graham’s disappearance, Jill Graham has taken to Facebook in her own campaign to locate her husband. In a post written by Graham, which she has encouraged others to share on the platform she states, “He has four children and a wife who are beyond eager to have him home with us.”

The post, which has since gone viral, has been met with not only an outpouring of support for the Graham family, but also a healthy dose of skepticism. Graham has since updated the post writing, “I understand that some people may be skeptic [sic] of this post being truthful. Unfortunately, this nightmare is actually happening.”

According to breaking reports, Michael has been located alive at a hotel in Omaha. Police have released a statement that at this point in the investigation they do not suspect foul play, but have not disclosed any further details. An update from the Press-Citizen on Graham’s story states that Omaha police are “checking on his mental and physical well-being.”

Anyone with any information on the case is urged to contact North Liberty police at 319-626-5724.
