Most of us have been the victim of an awful haircut within our lifetime. Sure, we have to be creative with how we wear our hair for a couple weeks while it grows out or sometimes take shelter in the safety of a hat, but very few of us would consider it a criminal act at the hands of our stylist. However, a Wisconsin man claims he received a haircut that was so bad that police had to place the stylist under arrest.

When a 22-year-old Madison, Wisconsin man walked into Ruby’s Salon he thought he would come out looking like Ryan Gosling, instead, he left looking like Larry from the Three Stooges.

According to police spokesman Joel DeSpain, the barber asked the man to stop fidgeting during his haircut. It was during this fidgeting episode that the stylist, 46-year-old Khaled A. Shabani, snipped the client’s ear. After slicing him with the scissors, the stylist then took a clipper positioned in the lowest possible setting and ran it down the middle of the customer’s head.

“While it is not a crime to give someone a bad haircut, you will get arrested for intentionally snipping their ear with a scissor,” DeSpain said.

The victim called 911 after the experience and filed a report with police. Shabani claims the whole thing was an accident, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. He has been arrested and charged with suspicion of mayhem and disorderly conduct while armed.

As for the customer, he decided he would have little choice but to go for a clean-shaven look this holiday season.
